Salicylic acid (BHA)
A beta hydroxy acid works on the uppermost skin layers and within pores as an exfoliant and anti-inflammatory. It is excellent for acne sufferers as it can draw out and remove dead cells and debris from congested skin follicles. It is also oil-loving meaning it is attracted to the oil in the follicle to decongest the pore.
Australian melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil
Australian melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil offers a naturally derived alternative for the topical treatment of acne due to its powerful and proven wound healing, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antifungal and antimicrobial properties.
Lactic acid (AHA)
A natural and biocompatible chemical exfoliant for effective removal of epidermal dead skin cells, responsible for congestion. Also, an effective hydrator to maintain moisture levels in the skin.
Allantoin
Found naturally in several plants, such as chamomile, allantoin is an excellent moisturising, healing, and anti-inflammatory ingredient. Allantoin effectively increases the water content in the skin, while its active keratolytic properties aid the desquamation of dead skin cells and increase skin smoothness. With its nourishing and skin-soothing benefits, it calms skin and supports the skin’s healing process.
Rosemary essential oil (French)
Rosemary essential oil possesses powerful antibacterial properties that can combat acne-causing bacteria. Additional healing, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties provide effective treatment in calming and restoring irritated skin.
