Complete removal of Seb Ks
Seborrhoeic keratoses can accumulate more with time and occur more on the torso and face than limbs. They are raised, shiny or rough, benign skin plaques that can be yellow, brown, black or white.
Causes
- A genetic tendency
- Age
- Seb Ks are not related to sun exposure
Symptoms
Seb Ks are raised lumpy smooth or rough skin plaques that can range in size from quite tiny to several centimetres.
They can be yellow, light brown, dark brown, white or black.
They occur more frequently on the torso, but can occur on the face or limbs.
Treatments
At GVSL we completely remove seb Ks with either:
- CO2 ablative laser
- Skin shave
All before and after photos are displayed with specific patient consent. Results may vary, discuss your individual needs with your health practitioner.
Occasionally we might do this for very small skin tag type Seb Ks. We find that larger ones are not satisfactorily removed with freezing and require shave excision or laser.
We will completely remove the Seb K. You may develop others in different locations if you are prone to them.
You will be left with a small graze the size of the Seb K. This will require ointment and daily dressings for 1 week. No swimming in this time.
